MSW students are assigned a faculty member, who serves as their academic advisor while completing the program. Advisors grant "permissions" for courses each term, serve as professional mentors, and troubleshoot/ advocate for students as needed. Students meet both fall and spring semesters for advising and to obtain course permissions for up coming terms. Appointments can be made directly with advisors.
All MSW courses are sequenced and must be taken in order. Courses are offered only once a year so postponing a course will extend the time needed to complete the degree requirements.
Here is a standard plan of study for each cohort. Students follow a cohort model until their 600 level classes. Consult an academic advisor for more information.
All program options depend upon sufficient student enrollment.
